“Mathematics, rightly viewed, possesses not only truth, but supreme beauty.”
- Bertrand Russell
Chapter 4 Overview
Chapter 4 introduces students to proving triangles congruent and using congruent triangles in real life problems. Students first classify triangles and find angle measures. They identify congruent figures and corresponding parts of congruent figures. They use congruence postulates to solve real-life problems. They use properties of equilateral, isosceles, and right triangles.
